Carry on a Great Conversation

Have you ever been in the presence of true conversationalists? We have many times and I am always amazed at how fun it is to just sit and talk. Conversationalists can talk about anything and bring you into the conversation. They look at you, ask questions and wait for the answers. They aren't afraid of probing questions directed back at themselves. Conversationalists can draw in children and talk to them in a way that they enjoy the conversations too. Just a few questions we have been asked:
  • In the past six months, when have you felt the closest to God?
  • In the past six months, what was your happiest moment?
  • Who in your family is the most serious, silliest, math oriented, scientific, reader, artistic, athletic, musical...?
  • How can we pray for you personally, your ministry, your family...?
  • What's your favorite book, movie?
  • What are you reading right now? How has it moved you?
  • Tell me about you quiet time.

Above all, the main thing about conversations should be an extention of our main purpose of life - to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.
