Creative Discipline
After talking with some ladies this weekend I thought it might be interesting to post some ideas I have heard for creatively training children. I have always used "the rod" for punishment and disobedience, but some childishness and forgetfullness might be better treated with a little creativity. Here is a list; I haven't tried all of these ideas, but thought it could be helpful and fun.

One friend squirts a few drops of vinegar in her children's mouths if the offense involves the mouth. She says that, compared to spanking, this can even be done when she's on the phone (when the kids inevitably decide to persistently interrupt).
When our children would complain about or resist doing a chore we would just add another chore to that one.
