Proverbs 29:11

Have you ever heard someone say something like, "I just have to get this out, I have to vent to someone, or I have to get this off my chest.  "

A fool gives full vent to his spirit,

    but a wise man quietly holds it back.

This verse makes it clear that there is no reason to vent. In fact it clearly indicates that the opposite is true. Wisdom holds back, wisdom doesn't vent, rant, let it out... So the next time I feel the need to let it all out, I'll not.
