Monday, I started our first day of school with Mary and Lydia. It was much different than Sarah's first day years ago. They didn't seem to mind too much that I only got to do devotions with them. They were able to get to some of their on their own work and ended the day pretty satisfied. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come.
The purpose of this blog is to encourage ladies in the variety of aspects of homemaking. I would like for all women to fulfill their God-given calling to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.

First Day of School
Sarah's first day of homeschool was eleven years ago. I still remember her disappointed face after several hours of going strong with Rachel and Hannah and I finally realized I hadn't started anything with her. She was sitting in her little chair with her best dress and hat (she wanted to be dressed her best for her first day) and had her new notebook and pencils in hand. I asked her if she was okay and her response broke my heart, "Is this how homeschool is going to be every day? Are you ever going to get to me?" Of course, I immediately started working with her and her views of sitting bored and waiting have changed drastically.
