Where does the time go? This is a poem that Rachel wrote for Sarah and put it in a journal she gave her this week. How good it is to see the girls to encourage one another.
Dear Sarah,
Congrats on making it to the ripe old age of fifteen!
It's been so great and fast-it felt like a dream!
As you enter this fifteenth year of life,
I hope it is not filled with much strife.
Fill this book with songs, verses, tears and joys,
Just don't waste too many pages on icky boys!
As you grow and learn,
There is but one thing for which you must yearn.
That one thing is a treasure,
and in it's search you will find great pleasure.
The blessing now, I must share,
Is not something that you can wear.
This secret and lovely art
Lies in a good and godly heart!
Look below and become aware
Of this, for you, that is my prayer.
"asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. May you be strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light."

That is precious! What a wonderful gift!
Poetry seems to be a huge part of gifts around here. A lot of times it's silly, but when it is encouraging too makes a mom's heart "proud."
