I Have a Dilemma
Ray signed me up to run my first race tomorrow. And tomorrow is going to be COLD! We have had the coldest winter on record in Georgia and all I want to do is get under a blanket and drink hot chocolate. If you know me at all, you know I'm very cold natured. Also, I have been running on the treadmill for the past few months and haven't even come close to running a full 3.2 miles (which is what I am supposed to run.) Now that we've spent the money - do I suck it up and run? or do I take the t-shirt and say I should have? Just thinking about it puts a chill in my bones.

Wow! Since the money is already spent, I would think this would be a good chance for you to practice and see how far you get on pavement. But I also think that this very unusual winter weather is a sign to humans and other warm-blooded animals to stay inside and snuggle their families. I guess I was not very helpful. I think I vote stay home. You don't need to get sick or injured right now! I cannot imagine sucking all that cold air down would do your throat, nose, or lungs any favors.
Ray would probably run it anyway, right? Jeff thrives on this kind of weather. I'm still a Phoenix girl at heart; we just went on a 30 minute walk through the beautiful, snowy woods, and that was plenty for me. I would take a snow day! (gee, won't it be too dangerous to drive to the race, anyway, with icy road conditions? ;-) )
Okay, I guess I am going. What does it mean when my girls burst out laughing when I am trying on snow hats to wear?
So, did you go? How was it? And is there a picture of you in the hat?
