It's really a long story of how our family became a house divided in basketball. Ray and Rachel coach at the same Christian school that Hannah plays on the team. Sarah plays basketball at the same Christian school that our family has attended in years past and has always participated in sports with while we were homeschooling. Why? The answers are so complicated that I don't even understand anymore. Needless to say, there is a lot of discussion on this subject in our home right now. The reason for this is that the two teams are in the same region and play against each other. Though Sarah's team won both times, individually Hannah and Sarah scored evenly and had similar stats. I sit in the stands as near the middle of both fans and try not to cheer at all. I tell the girls that it is much harder on me than on them :). I love the girls on both teams and want them all to do really well and am completely torn during the games. A friend of the family who was watching the game with me said, "This is really awkward. I don't know when to even clap." In the end, it has certainly been a great test of how we can glorify God in that we do. Now- on to region championships next month.
