I can finally say we have been successful in our morning devotions. We have always had family devotions at bedtime with Ray. Many times in the past he has read Scripture at breakfast, but this was something I had been trying to do since we started home-schooling. We would go through brief periods when we would have devotions, but it would always fizzle out. After five weeks of school we have gotten in the habit of everyone meeting in the den to read Scripture, pray, practice memory work, and learn about another nation. We have taken these past few weeks to memorize Psalm 46, but everything else has been changing. We have learned that age plays a huge part in ability to memorize and Mary is the Psalm 46 champion of the house. Any time you see us out and about, ask how we are doing on Scripture memory to hold us accountable to "hiding God's Word in our hearts." You can keep up with where we are by looking at the "Weekly Current Book" section to the right.
