How fun life is when you're four! But then you have to do something big. Lydia's Summer goal this year was to stop sucking her finger. You know how sweet little ones are when they get sleepy and suck their finger? Well, she was just that cute and she wanted to rub your arm or back while she fell asleep sucking her finger. Now that she has gotten soooo old, she had to break that habit. It is heartbreaking for us too, because we aren't ready for her to grow up.
This week we have been doing a lot of talking about the end of summer. You may recall our chalk board of summer goals. We did pretty good on everything, but Lydia's goal is by far the success of this story. She and I went to celebrate by getting ice cream and talk about her upcoming start in kindergarten. She is really excited about that and can't wait to read and learn math. She has already starting learning how to do laundry. The picture above is her idea of filling the washer.
