Summer Goals

Besides the fact that I'm not always cold, one of the things I love about Summer is that I get to accomplish a lot that doesn't get done through the year. Girl Talk is having a contest to check out what others are doing through this great time of the year. We made a goals board and posted a few things we'd like to work on this Summer, along with getting the house cleaned from top to bottom. I am glad to say that every window is now sparkly, except for Mary and Lydia's - they are watching a spider and her egg sacs. We are progressing nicely through Proverbs 31; I have exercised every day this week (so far); and everyone is enjoying sleeping later. No one knows this yet , but the next thing on my list has something to do with being able to walk into the walk in closets.
I am trying to do my cleaning differently this year. I plan to spend a week cleaning and a week playing. The deal is that the girls work super hard in the mornings of the cleaning week and I'll play super hard on the playing week. Last week, Sarah had her friend, Rachel, from Knoxville spend the whole week and we did a lot of fun things like swimming and movies, before Ray and I went out of town. This week we are doing windows and other odd projects to get ready for company this weekend. Next week, we'll get to have more friends over to play. Hannah and Sarah have a "mad Monopoly" game that has been going on since Christmas that really needs to come to an end, so they can play Scrabble with me more.
