Today was Sarah's thirteenth birthday. As I see the young lady she has become I have to remember the days when she was "my Sarahshine, my only Sarahshine." (Sung to You are My Sunshine.) I think of her as the chubby little baby whose first word was cookie to the grown up girl who can bake her own cookies. She's grown from the curly haired pink faced doll baby to a very poised young lady who gave away her hair. She went from singing "Hold me, hold me, hold me" to the tune of "Holy, Holy, Holy" to playing the piano in church sometimes.
In the past few weeks Sarah has been more interested in planning a party for Hannah who turns sixteen next week than planning her own. We had a nice quiet day (ha-ha) of school, her Daddy date to Five Guys, and the first soccer game of the season. For supper a friend came over to eat Chinese and chocolate cheesecake and we watched a girl movie. After supper, the girls all danced and played in the dining room and we had a great evening. What a blessing God has given us in our girls.

It is awesome to see her becoming molded into the image of Christ. Serving rather than being served. Loving on people she cannot even know. May God continue to bless your family and shape her into a wonderful woman. Our family is thinking of you today.

Hi,
Thanks so much for your kind comments. Sarah is only just beginning to realize her role as an example to others. She "gets" to practice serving and blessing her sisters often.
We all think of your church family with love,
Lori
I am so glad to know about your blog! I have seen you every week for a couple of years and just now I am getting to know you. Your family is very blessed, and I am looking forward to learning more from you.
