Traditions Reign

Here are a few shots of our traditional trip to Old Salem in North Carolina. We've taken this trip every fall for 15 years with only one exception. It's a great time for our family to be together, learn more history, and play in the field. We love going on night walks and visiting the same shops and restaurants every time. When we went into the Moravian Book & Gift Shop, one of the employees exclaimed, "Well, 'our family' has come back to visit!" We usually start talking about Christmas plans and buying a few gifts. This year we even made a quick trip to Mt. Airy better known as "Mayberry".

Traditions are a huge way we teach our girls of God's consistent love and care for us. He provides for us in amazing ways all the time. In this historic community, in which it seems that time doesn't pass, we are given opportunities to marvel at God's creation and his provision of family and friends.
