What's One Toe?
What difference does one toe make on a foot of many? It can make a healthy, grown adult whine like a baby. Last night I "kicked" a laptop that happened to be on the floor beside the sofa. I knew the pain instantly. (I've broken three other toes from various "kicks" before.) Breaking your toe isn't really that big of a deal. There's no need to go to the doctor because all they'll do is x-ray, tape it, then say it will feel better in a few weeks. In the meantime, I sit and watch others work or limp around. Thankfully, in God's providence, our friends from Florida are here and they are sweet to work along and keep our home running smoothly.

No big deal? I broke my toe 2 months ago and it was a big deal!! We didn't go to the doctor knowing that they wouldn't do much. My husband taped it for me and I sat on the couch and wondered "why did this happen?" It was hard for me to watch my family work while I sat and rested. I laughed when someone told me it would take 3-4 weeks to get better, but...they were right! Who knew a little bitty toe could cause so much pain?!? If you want, come over to my blog and see the post about my broken toe, complete with a picture! :-) I'll pray for you as you recover. Take advantage of the time to relax and read!
I also broke my smallest toe about a year ago. Wow! I did not realize it would hurt so bad. I cried for 45 minutes until the Aleve finally seemed to help. I couldn't wear anything but sandals and only if they didn't touch that toe for 2 weeks. Of course living in Florida helped with that! ;) I am praying for you! In Him, Eva
I'm not what you would call a professional at toe breaking, but this is the fourth toe I've broken. Apparently, I'm very clumsy. This time, I have learned from experience and it seems to be healing well. Wearing tight fitting, hard bottomed shoes helps me to move around easier without limping.
Sorry about leaving my computer on the floor.
Love,
Ray
Oh no Lori! I'm sorry! I broke a little bone in my foot yesterday that controls movement to the two smallest toes. It hurt so bad! Hope you get to feeling better soon.
