One of Mary's favorite passtimes is to "ice skate" all over the house in her slipper socks. She knows the names of all the moves and famous ice skaters. So on her birthday our family went ice skating. I chose not to spend the time laying on the cold ice floor so I just took pictures, and there was plenty of shots to get. It was the first time on ice for Ray, Hannah, Mary and Lydia. At first it seemed that everyone would be very sore from their falls. After a while Rachel and Sarah were trying a few tricks and Mary and Lydia were skating on their own. Ray actually enjoyed it too. It was so sweet to see my whole family holding hands and skating together.

Did Mary get her ice cream?
She did get her ice cream and it was pretty exciting to go to the garage and get a birthday present from the freezer there.
