Overwhelmed

While driving in the car with Hannah, I made a few phone calls to check on some people. After talking to the third person, I realized that Hannah was crying. She was overwhelmed at the sorrow and distress that so many are in right now. We talked about how last year at this time we were in their place and God gave us the grace to get through. He was faithful to us and He will be faithful to them. He provided so many people to help us and gave us the strength to not give up.

So - for the mom of five with a newborn who can't seem to get out of her house until four in the afternoon, or the family who lost their beloved grandfather and uncle, or the mom who is unable to move because of a bad neck while her husband works out of town - God is faithful! He will give you the grace to see this through. And... as much as possible, I will be delivering chicken soup.....
