It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

Every year we all wear these goofy Santa sweat shirts to the Christmas tree farm.

Abigail spends most of her days being held and admired.

Searching, searching, searching...
but never alone.

I love this picture of Abigail meeting Mr. Lowery at the tree farm. He's a dear man who owns Hilltop Tree Farm and always greets us like we're his best friends.

Traditions still reign here but sometimes they have to change a little. We set out this year to get our Christmas tree from the same tree farm in Ellijay that we've been going to for about fifteen years. The past few years the owners have been telling us that they aren't sure how long they'll be open but to keep coming back. Well, this year there wasn't a tree for us. We love the Leland Cypress because it's full, natural and just a beautiful tree, but there wasn't one at their farm that would fit our living room. So we said sad good byes and went to another farm, only to find that they didn't have a cypress tree for us either. We ended getting a different kind of tree, getting it set up and decorated last week. Because this is an unusual season we didn't put out as much "stuff" as the little girls would have liked, but we put out as many decorations as we could, then put everything else back in the attic. There are still lights all over the house, the candy tree in the dining room, and Christmas music going as much as I can get it on, so it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas here.
