Okay, who hasn't heard enough about the drama on Sesame Street? Years ago, when celebrities like Ellen DeGeneres started appearing there, I got so mad and turned that show off completely. (We have never really spent a lot of time in front of the television any way.) With all my complaining, Ray had to remind me, "What do you expect from unbelievers?" I realize it is preposterous that they would consider holding a marriage of Bert and Ernie on a kids' show. It is wrong, it is shameful, it is liberal activists trying to indoctrinate small children.

We have chosen, for our family, that the best way to keep them from that kind indoctrination is to turn off the television! We watch almost no tv and when we do, I usually regret that because of commercials. There is enough sin in our own hearts that it doesn't seem wise to spend time watching it glorified. Even my older girls have been sucked in to popular tv shows, only to feel let down and like they've wasted time.
