I really like what this picture says about Rachel. She keeps her things neat and tidy and surrounds herself with the things she loves most - her Bible, books, flowers from her "sweetie", and pictures of people she loves. She has a dish full of sharpies in every color to send interesting notes home (I got a letter written completely in Spanish). The paper doll chain is so adorable! Our sweet friend, Natalie had several young ladies over to make one of these each for Rachel and Hannah. (They love getting care packages in the mail.) It was so much fun for the girls and moms to cut, glue, draw and decorate these little dolls. She googled "paper doll chain" to get the pattern and cut them out of brown paper bags. It was such a fun idea that Mary and Lydia want to make one for their room. I'm thinking ... Christmas ideas for friends too.
