I have to confess, sometimes I go to my quiet times with God with a "ho-hum" kind of attitude. I am reading in Leviticus and to be honest have been a little bored. I had the thoughts of, "been there - done that." You know, as if I didn't really have anything to learn, just had to get this part of Scripture checked off my list. Sometimes I would pray something like, "God I know all of your word is important and this part of Scripture teaches me something, but please help me to know what that is."
Then I started noticing some very important words.... "I am the Lord your God." Over and over, the phrases started jumping out at me. Phrases kept coming alive - "I am the Lord your God; I am the Lord; I am their God; I am the Lord who sanctifies you."
The intricate details of Scripture may not be very exciting on the first look, but no matter how many times we read it, "God's word is sufficient to make one wise."
