Allowance

Do you give your children allowance? Whenever we have the money, Ray will give them a little bit of cash and they have done odd jobs for grandparents to earn money. We haven't ever given them money just for being alive and living in our home. (I don't know the value behind that, but I'm there may be some.) Besides we just never had the extra money to give.

We've wanted to teach the the girls to be good stewards with whatever they get. With the older girls doing more odd jobs and actually having more, I am very interested in how they spend their money. Everyone has natural tendencies and some spend more freely than others, but it's really good to see the caution they use with what they have. It's also refreshing to see them sneaking around to give it away when they see the need.
