Daddy - "Have you lost your mind?"
Lydia - "Well, that's what dads are supposed to do, braid their little girls' hair."
Mary (with way too much interest)- "Oh Daddy, will you just try? I want to see what happens."
Daddy (with his famous smirk)- "Ok, here you go. You just separate the hair into halves and twist it around. Give me that ponytail thing. Then you just fold that over it and there you go."
The hair makes a slow flop down Lydia's back.
Mary (like only a big sister can do)- "...a low sloppy pony tail. Come on Lydia, I'll help you."
There have been so many times when Ray has brought the girls to me with their clothes on back wards or not matching. After he brought me 2 year old Rachel to my mom's wedding with the pinafore to her dress under neath it and no slip at all, I knew dressing little girls is NOT what dads are supposed to do.
