Living in "God's Country" isn't hard at all in the Fall. The leaves have just barely begun to change, but you can feel it in the air. Just peeking your nose out in the mornings is like smelling Fall. Coming inside to the smell of pumpkin chocolate chip bread, Sarah said, "Ummm, it smells like Old Salem in here." That's the ultimate compliment because our family loves Old Salem, North Carolina.
Mentioning pumpkin bread - are your recipes seasonal? We have had several extra cans of pumpkin in our pantry since last year, but no one has even thought of making anything with them. Now that there is a slight nip in the air we've been pulling out our "Fall" weather recipes and cooking yummy warm foods.

We're enjoying the beginnings of fall here in McDonough, but we find ourselves fighting the urge to head up north! Just a few more weeks... Maybe making something pumkin-y will help to tide us over!
By the way, thanks to you and Rachel for sharing your reading lists. Very helpful (and challenging)!
Don't worry about the reading lists. I am doing all I can to keep up with my girls.
When did you move to Texas?
Hahaha...sorry, I couldn't resist!
