The traditional sunglasses picture.
Mary and Ray reading together.
We wanted to bring this little boy home. His mother offered him to us and Rachel grabbed him up. I don't think she was serious, but the girls were really worried about him.
The girls kind of look like turtles when they come in on the boogie board with their heads up and grinning big.
Sarah put her face in the freezer to get some relief from her sun burn.
Lydia got too brave in the water at the pool and someone had to stay by her side every minute.
Mary and Lydia are so photogenic.
Sarah and Hannah at the only time we went out to eat. We ordered an order of crab legs for Ray and me to share. I really didn't figure out how to get the meat out and Ray hardly ate anything trying to help me.
Rachel and Mary....

Oh what dear times they are as I was reading your post below. I am still at the point where I remember vividly and fondly almost every vacation my family went on and yet we're just starting our own traditions with family vacations. It's also encouraging to hear that you still deal with whining and fighting from time to time. We easily get discouraged with the boys when we have had days that start with discipline and end with discipline. It's so hard to know if they are where they should be at their ages. And if we are teaching the heart manners well enough. And then Ryan begins to wonder, should we really have any more kids. I mean two are a handful! As my heart for some reason longs for so much more.
Thanks for encouraging me through your lives,
Megan Reed
