Sarah's Sighs

When I think of basketball season ending, I begin to sigh a sigh of relief. I know extra time in the afternoon is coming and we can slow down our morning routine to get more schoolwork done in the afternoon. Then I think of Sarah. What will she do? She just came in and asked, "What will I do when basketball is over?" I jokingly said, "I don't know, I guess your life will be over." Sarah is a dedicated basketball player who carries her ball everywhere and gets in a few shots no matter what. When the coaches (her dad and sister) suggest that the players should be doing extra work outside of the gym, Sarah takes them seriously. Her dedication shows up on the court as she is a force to reckon with. Most twelve and thirteen year olds are more concerned with their hair and friends, not a ball game. I am thankful that she is dedicated and focused, now if we could just get her to finish her Science paper...

The picture is of Sarah dribbling down the court. The speedster beside her is Hannah who plays just as great and is really looking forward to soccer season.
