We are receiving positive feedback from folks who are using my Christmas book. Thanks! Along with many of you our family is also going through the book. The first devotion/activity in the book seeks to help one to understand their family from a historical context. During our family activity we had some of our children read mini-biographical statements about great Christian leaders from the Reformation. My wife, Lori, had prepared small scrolls with a biographical sketch of certain leaders. Following that Lori and I shared with our children a few memories from our childhood and sought to make some application to the Scripture reading of the day (Psalm 78:1-8). Our goal was to help our children to better understand their connection to the past and responsibility to the future.
The book contains 35 devotions/activities and most days do not build upon the previous day. Therefore you can pick the book up at any time during the month and use it to great benefit. You don’t have to try to catch up on the previous days, however, most days the devotions and activities are brief enough so that you can catch up from previous lessons if you like.
The book is also not dated to a particular year. Therefore it can be given as a gift and the recipient can use the book year after year.
