Who I Am

Recently, I was introduced to large group of people as Ray Rhodes' wife and the mother of five daughters. That happens to me quite often and I love it. That is who I am. Oh I'm sure that drives the self-help gurus nuts, but I am very pleased with where God has me. As I grow older, I'm sure that there will be many changes in how that looks; I may even end up as a widow with children living far away. However, right now this is who I am-a wife and mother. When God decides to change my job description, I will learn that that is a great place to be also. Learning to be content with where God has you right now is very satisfying.

Amen!

I am so thankful that God has brought me to the place where I can really appreciate this job of being a mom and wife, but as you mention, realizing that it is only temporary. Eternally, I will be a worshipper of the one true God! That privilege will last! God is so merciful!

What a cute picture of the girls! Hope you are healing well and able to enjoy a few more weeks of rest!

Lori, what a precious picture! I think you should consider something like that for your Christmas card!

Thanks for your words of encouragement, even to those you've never met!
