How to Grow a Child for God, 6-10

More from Wayne Mack:
6. Give him freedom to make decisions where serious issues are not at stake. Your goal should be to bring your child to maturity in Christ and not dependence on you. Proverbs 22:6; Colossians 1:27-28; Ephesians 4:13-15.
7. Do not compare him with others. Galations 6:4; 2 Corinthians 10:12-13; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11.
8. Never mock him or make fun of him. Do not belittle your child. Beware of calling him dumb or clumbsy or stupid. Matthew 7:12, Ephesians 4: 29-30; Colossians 4:6, Proverbs 16:24.
9. Do not scold him unnecessarily in front of others. Matthew 18:15.
10. Never make threats or promises that you do not intend to keep. Matthew 5:37, James 5:12, Colossians 3:9.
