Parenting Link

Our church is going through some parenting videos on Wednesday nights recently and here is the link to the introduction class. I am reminded that my sin is what causes most of my parenting failures. As I watched I was struck by a few quotes.

Gracious parenting is a rescue.
I am not the fourth member of the trinity.
I need Christ just like my child needs Christ.
The video is about twenty minutes long, but so worth the time.

As a confessed "list maker," I know that I would like a set of rules to follow- a list of parenting "dos and don'ts." Too often parenting is based on a child's good behavior. If a child is well behaved and doesn't embarrass his parents then he is a good child. Parenting that doesn't change a child's heart produces well behaved sinners on their way to Hell.
